Year-End Surplus Inventory Buyers: Sell NEW Overstock Before 2027

Looking for surplus inventory buyers before the end of 2026? Have NEW merchandise that you would rather clear than carry into 2027?

Big Willy’s Wholesale is a direct nationwide buyer of qualifying NEW surplus inventory, excess merchandise, overstock, discontinued products, and general merchandise closeouts.

We evaluate bulk inventory from authorized sellers across the United States, including multiple pallets, truckloads, containers, large single-SKU positions, mixed-SKU assortments, and complete closeouts.

As businesses prepare their purchasing plans and warehouse space for the new year, they often identify new merchandise that no longer fits their current assortment. You may be holding excess stock after a canceled order, a revised forecast, a discontinued product line, or an overbuy.

You do not need to wait until December to start exploring a bulk sale.

Who Buys Year-End Surplus Inventory in Bulk?

Big Willy’s Wholesale reviews qualifying new bulk merchandise directly from manufacturers, importers, distributors, brands, retailers, wholesalers, Amazon and e-commerce sellers, 3PL customers, warehouse inventory owners, and individuals holding commercial quantities who own the inventory or have legitimate authorization to sell it.

A year-end closeout is not a special product condition. It simply means an inventory owner is considering a sale before its next operating or purchasing period.

The merchandise may be current and retail-ready, even if the seller has decided not to keep it.

For example, an importer might have 14 pallets of new kitchen accessories after a retailer reduces its order.

A distributor might have 20,000 units of one household product that is selling below forecast.

A brand might have an assortment of new pet accessories it plans to discontinue in 2027.

These are examples of opportunities we evaluate, not guaranteed purchase quantities.

Six Reasons Sellers Clear NEW Inventory Before a New Year

1. Free Up Warehouse Space for Incoming Products

New assortments and purchase orders can require space long before the next shipment arrives.

If older inventory is occupying pallet positions needed for current merchandise, selling the excess in bulk may be worth evaluating.

2. Recover Working Capital Tied Up in Overstock

Every case sitting in storage represents money that cannot be used elsewhere.

A closeout sale may help recover some of that capital, although bulk prices can differ from normal retail or wholesale selling prices.

3. Exit Discontinued SKUs and Product Lines

Brands, manufacturers, and distributors may stop carrying certain products, colors, models, or packaging versions.

We evaluate qualifying NEW discontinued merchandise, including large single-SKU quantities and complete product-line closeouts.

4. Clear Canceled-Order and Production Surplus

Canceled retail programs, reduced purchase orders, and manufacturing minimums can leave companies with more finished goods than their customers need.

Submit the available new merchandise, quantity, case pack, and warehouse location for review.

5. Reduce Ongoing Storage and Handling Costs

Warehouse rent, pallet storage, inventory administration, and handling charges can continue even when a product sells slowly.

A bulk sale is one option to compare against keeping the inventory for another season.

6. Simplify Inventory Before 2027 Purchasing Decisions

Some businesses prefer to review surplus stock before setting new purchase budgets or negotiating warehouse capacity.

You can submit inventory now without committing to a sale; our team will determine whether the opportunity fits our current buying needs.

What Types of NEW Year-End Overstock Do We Evaluate?

We evaluate qualifying new consumer merchandise across categories including:

  • Household and Home Organization: Storage bins, organizers, cleaning accessories, and home essentials.

  • Kitchen and Cookware: Cookware, kitchen tools, food storage, and related products.

  • Pet Supplies: Collars, leashes, harnesses, toys, and pet accessories.

  • Beauty and Personal Care: Haircare, skincare, cosmetics, and retail-packaged personal care products.

  • Baby, Toys, and Games: Baby accessories, educational products, toys, and games.

  • Electronics and Accessories: Consumer electronics and related products.

  • Apparel and Outdoor: New apparel, accessories, and outdoor consumer goods.

  • Office and School Supplies: Stationery, organizers, and school merchandise.

  • Paper, Janitorial, and PPE: Cleaning supplies, disposable products, gloves, and related merchandise.

  • Food and Beverage: Packaged products subject to suitable expiration dates, labeling, and other applicable requirements.

Other NEW general merchandise categories can also be submitted for consideration.

We purchase NEW merchandise only.

We do not purchase customer returns, used products, open-box merchandise, refurbished goods, or reconditioned inventory. Products must be legally saleable, and sellers must have the authority to transfer them.

For broader product categories, visit our general merchandise buyers page.

Can You Sell Mixed-SKU Overstock or Just One Product?

Both. A surplus position may consist of thousands of units of one UPC or an assortment spanning dozens of SKUs.

We evaluate multiple pallets, full truckloads, containers, large single-SKU positions, and complete closeouts.

A full truckload is not a universal minimum, and submitting an opportunity does not guarantee an offer.

If you have a single product, provide its exact UPC or SKU, total units, units per case, and photos.

For a mixed assortment, send the full inventory spreadsheet with quantities by SKU.

You do not need to create individual consumer listings before approaching our buying team.

Who Can Submit Inventory to Big Willy’s Wholesale?

We welcome opportunities from manufacturers, importers, distributors, brands, retailers, wholesalers, Amazon and e-commerce sellers, 3PL customers, warehouse inventory owners, and individuals with commercial quantities.

The essential requirement is that you legally own the merchandise or are genuinely authorized to sell it.

A 3PL or warehouse operator does not automatically have the right to sell a customer's inventory merely because it stores the goods. Any liens, ownership disputes, or restrictions must be resolved and disclosed before a transaction can proceed.

We are based in Vernon, Los Angeles, California, but evaluate qualifying new inventory nationwide.

You do not need to move the goods to California simply to submit them for review.

How to Submit a Year-End Surplus Inventory Position

To help our buying team review your merchandise, submit as much of the following as possible:

  1. Inventory List: Product names, brand names, UPCs or SKUs, and quantities available by item.

  2. Case and Pallet Information: Units per case, total cases, approximate pallet count, and whether pallets are mixed.

  3. Photos: Actual product packaging, case labels, and representative warehouse or pallet photos.

  4. Location: Warehouse city, state, ZIP code, and whether the goods are at your facility or a 3PL.

  5. Pricing: Your asking price or target price, if available, and useful retail or wholesale reference prices.

  6. Timing: Any year-end warehouse deadline, expected inbound date, or pickup requirement.

  7. Product Requirements: Expiration dates, lot codes, certifications, and labeling details where relevant.

  8. Resale Rights: Confirmation of ownership or authorization, plus any brand, marketplace, channel, geographic, or export restrictions.

For a multi-SKU closeout, attaching a spreadsheet is generally the easiest way to communicate the full position.

If your list is not complete, submit what you have and identify what remains to be confirmed.

Is It Better to Sell Before Year-End or Hold the Inventory?

There is no universal answer.

Consider how quickly the merchandise is likely to sell through existing channels, how much storage and handling will cost, whether new products are arriving, and what price a bulk buyer can offer.

A wholesale closeout may help recover working capital and simplify operations, but it may not produce the same unit price as selling goods individually.

Evaluate the economics of your particular position. Do not assume a sale automatically creates a specific tax result; consult your own accounting adviser for tax treatment.

The practical first step is to provide accurate product and quantity information so a buyer can assess the opportunity.

Our team reviews each submission individually; no offer, purchase, or specific response time is guaranteed.
